Signs of Spring...Maybe

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.  William Wordsworth

Memory of (and restless anticipation of) a Real Spring Day

The day stretched out like a rubber band in celebration of spring
Oatmeal; Raisin toast; Strong coffee
Laundry
Banana bread baking
No phones ringing
No computer
Deck sitting
A little raking
Yogurt pears banana
Clean linens
Chase away thoughts of pettiness, turn it into compassion
Woodstock flea market debut; pretty pins
New flower boxes
Friendly faces; Walking
Movies three from rental
Walking to Marias for coffee
Cardinal streaking across the road, like a swift red flag
The wine lady said my eyes match my sweater
I said it’s a mood sweater
J asks me to dinner out
A hot shower; leopard slings
Lo Mein; dumplings; hot tea
Movie watching;  Mango dripping
Sweet dreams

Daffs are valiant
daffs are strong
daffs so happy to sing their song
Spring has sprung!
I tell you true
it won't be long now
I swear to you.
